Content standards and accountability

IMGQBank Editorial Policy

This policy explains who is responsible for IMGQBank educational content, how authority claims are handled and how readers can request a correction.

Effective August 25, 2026

Purpose and audience

IMGQBank content is created to support medical-exam preparation and study organization for international medical graduates. It is educational information, not medical advice, patient-care guidance or a substitute for current instructions from an examination authority.

Authorship and attribution

Articles display an individual byline only when that contributor's identity, role and permission to publish are verified. Otherwise, the article is attributed to the IMGQBank Editorial Team. Organizational attribution does not imply physician authorship or independent medical review.

Sources and factual claims

Content about examination rules, eligibility, scheduling or format should link to the responsible examination authority. Educational claims should be supported by suitable primary research, systematic reviews or authoritative institutional guidance when available.

Medical and clinical review

IMGQBank does not label content as medically or clinically reviewed unless a qualified reviewer has completed the review and approved publication of their name and credentials. The absence of a named reviewer means no such public review claim is being made.

Dates and substantive updates

Publication dates identify when an article was released. A modified or reviewed date should be changed only after a substantive content update or documented review, not merely to make an article appear recent.

Corrections

Readers can report an error through the contact page. Material factual corrections should be evaluated promptly, applied consistently to visible content and structured data, and accompanied by an updated date where appropriate.

Automation and editorial responsibility

Tools may assist research organization, drafting or editing, but automation does not replace human accountability. Content must be checked for accuracy, originality, source quality and usefulness before publication.

Independence

IMGQBank is an independent examination-preparation platform and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the Medical Council of Canada or other examination authorities unless an explicit verified relationship is stated.
